Purchasing from STS

Streamline Technical Services offers products and services to manufacturers, distributors and end-users, and retails open-market products that have been qualified to meet manufacturers’ specifications. Payment methods are generally based on the type of customer and project being performed.

Ecommerce customers will be able to pay by credit card through paypal on our ecommerce site, and if these customers wish to pay outside of paypal, this can be arranged through Laurie at lsivik@sts-us.net.

In-person customers can pay by paypal, credit card (Worldpay processor), business check, or discuss other options with our sales staff.

Service customers are contractual customers and payment arrangements are made as part of the contract. Flexibility includes regular billing, wire transfers, and the options listed above. For more information please contact Heidi at hmcinnes@sts-us.net

Product Warranty Coverage

 

Product Differentiation

Streamline Technical Services, (STS-Sales, STS), provides two categories of product.

Service: Service product is related to our service business is customer owned and supplied, sent to STS for processing either in or out of the manufacturer’s warranty period.  Service product has been managed through the STS processes as directed through a manufacturer or distributor’s contractual agreement with STS. This product is “serviced” and covered as detailed in contractual terms with the respective customer of STS, and is classified as either:

Sales: Sales product relates to our open market product processing. This product is obtained through open market (or gray market) channels and is processed for refurbishment or other usable conditions. Sales product is referred to as “refurbished”, “AS IS” or “New – Open Box”. Sales product has been managed through the STS processes as directed by STS common quality and engineering determinations, is the property of STS until sold, and is not necessarily sold under contract. This product is classified as either:

Refurbished

As Is

New – Open Box

Please refer to the appropriate warranty detail below before contacting us, to be sure you understand the coverage of your product and any issue you may be having.

A warranty will be considered null and void if:

The product has been subjected to abuse, misuse, mistreatment or neglect

The product has been damaged due to improper packaging or improper use of packaging

The product’s damage has been caused by the equipment the product is used with/in, or caused by damage to that equipment (not directly to the STS product) resulting from household or office adversity including but not limited to fire, electric shock or flooding

The product’s damage has been caused by modification or repair that was not performed or otherwise authorized by STS

The product is not verifiable as an STS product, due to missing identifying marks such as serial number, either by removal or defacement of any kind

Serviced Product Warranty

 

Streamline Technical Services’ warranty obligations for serviced product are limited to the terms set forth contractually with each customer.

 

Sales Product Warranty

 

Sales product is covered differently based on the technology, expected condition, and process of the individual product, and therefore warranty coverage differs. Streamline Technical Services (STS-Sales)’ warranty obligations for sales product are limited to the terms set forth below:

Refurbished Goods:

This warranty is valid only for refurbished products purchased from STS. These items are refurbished and in good and functional condition. By the very definition of refurbished, these products are not likely to look brand new, and may have minor cosmetic scratches, blemishes, or similar.

STS warrants to the original purchaser that the STS refurbished product will be free from defects in material or workmanship under normal use for (30) days after the original ship date. The start of the warranty coverage date is verified by a dated record of shipment, and is subject to the terms and conditions defined below.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Obtaining an RMA number does not confirm the state of warranty, only the authorization to return the product. Upon receiving, STS will inspect the unit for warranty approval based on its condition. Any damage due to improper installation, mishandling or other customer remorse, any damage that deems the warranty voided, will result in the following actions:

STS will review the damage and the needed repair, will quote an out of warranty repair price to the customer, and hold the unit for further instruction from the customer.

Upon written approval of the out of warranty cost, STS will repair the unit and bill the customer for the repair as quoted. Should the customer decline to pay the out of warranty repair price, the unit will not be repaired, and will be returned to the customer as is. Shipping costs will be the responsibility of the customer.

During the 30 day warranty period, at our discretion STS will repair or replace the unit with a product of equal or better quality at no charge to the customer, as available. If a replacement product is not available and the product cannot be repaired, STS will credit the amount the customer paid for the product. These terms apply provided it is returned during the warranty period.

Replacement product may include remanufactured or refurbished parts or components.

All RMA returns must be properly packaged in adequate package, with protective inserts, to prevent damage in transit, in order for STS to provide in-warranty service. STS reserves the right to refuse delivery of products shipped in insufficient packaging or damaged condition, and do so at no cost to STS.

AS IS Goods:

This warranty is valid only for AS IS goods purchased from STS. These items are AS IS and sold in accordance with the condition expected by the customer at the time of sales agreement. By the very definition of AS IS, these products may be classified as good or not functional.

STS warrants to the original purchaser for (30) days after purchase that the AS IS product will meet expectations based on the condition disclosed at the time of sale. The start of the warranty coverage date is verified by a dated record of shipment, and is subject to the terms and conditions defined below.

New – Open Box Product:

This warranty is valid only for New-Open Box goods purchased from STS. These items are New although the box has been opened and sold in accordance with the condition expected by the customer at the time of sales agreement. By the very definition of New – Open Box, these products are not processed by STS other than logistically, and are confirmed to be unused, although this action requires that the box be opened.  These products are not manufactured by STS, or remanufactured in any form or fashion including but not limited to refurbishment, rework or repair.

STS warrants to the original purchaser for (30) days after purchase that the New – Open Box product will meet expectations of “like new”. The start of the warranty coverage date is verified by a dated record of shipment, and is subject to the terms and conditions defined below.
