Seven expansions in five years. Not bad for a small company that started out with three employees when Lynn Bennett, President and Founder of Streamline Technical Services (STS), formed the company in 2001.

STS which is located at 2711 Oakmont Drive has experienced tremendous growth almost from the very beginning.

Bennett credits the real estate community, the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce and the City of Round Rock for their success. “With the Chamber’s involvement positive things are happening to help us grow the business. With seven expansions since 2001, it is important to have good relationships with property developers, realtors and managers. The City of Round Rock has been supportive as well.” STS’s core business is the repair of enterprise level tape drives. Their customers include companies such as Dell and HP. The company also tests, screens and repairs tape drives used for data storage. They have recently expanded their operations to include the sales of excess inventories of laptops, servers and tape drives. STS currently employees 103 workers and has plans to hire 30 more employees in 2005, while increasing revenue by 35%. The growth of STS has forced them to acquire another building adjacent to their Chandler Creek Business Park headquarters. In December STS moved to a new 24,677 square foot building. One thing is for sure, if the company continues this success, there should be more expansions to follow.
