Internal access controls additionally control how personnel and visitors move about. All warehouse doors are steel and secured, and every exit door is connected to the alarm system.

External lighting is active beginning at dusk, and dock doors are illuminated at night.

RESOURCES

Personnel:

All personnel undergo background checks, and receive security & safety training. Drivers are certified, and routes are controlled.

Data:

External systems protection is gained through the email gateway, domain firewall and proxy. Internal systems protection is gained through user group access controls via Win2K domain. STS securely backs up system data daily.

Inventory:

All inventory is controlled through system transaction and cycle count solutions. Physical and system inventory controls are in place to prevent loss and discrepancy, as well as control the separation of consigned and STS owned materials. Inventory controls may differ due to customer contractual agreements.

Documentation:

Confidential and/or proprietary documentation is controlled for security and historical purposes. This includes contracts or documentation with contractual information present. Documentation provided by the customer is retained in a confidential manner, utilized only by authorized personnel who require the information to perform their job tasks. Documentation created by STS in order to perform a customer process is considered proprietary and is maintained in a manner that protects the customer's proprietary and confidentiality expectations. Any obsolete or unusable proprietary documentation that is destroyed is shredded to ensure this confidentiality.

AUDITING

Security policy compliance is audited regularly. Daily monitoring by the police, fire department, and security contractor, serve to protect STS and to provide historical evidence of compliance with applicable parts of this policy. Limited access monitoring is also performed via internet resources. Testing of the alarm system is performed by the Security Contractor quarterly or when there is a suspected issue.

ASSET MANAGEMENT

Security Statement:

Each individual at STS is responsible for ensuring security and loss prevention policies are upheld.

Loss Prevention:

All personnel are responsible for proper handling and protection of the assets of STS and our clients. Due diligence is always used to protect the employees and property of STS and clients.

All STS personnel will request the identity of any unknown/unrecognized people on the STS grounds, and will promptly direct them to the lobby for assistance or proper admittance into the facility. Personnel will then notify the Supervisor/Security Officer.

Loss or Potential Loss Investigation:

Any product shortage is immediately reported, and a security officer systematically determines if there is a loss. In the case of a loss, the officer documents all steps of the determination and calls the security team together to investigate the incident identifying the cause. Where a loss occurs which cannot be corrected by STS, the property owner is notified and appropriate corrective actions are taken.

Where loss is determined to be unintentional, training is administered immediate upon understanding, to prevent of future incidents. Intentional loss incurred due to theft or other deceitful practice results in immediate termination and is punishable by law.
